The Bellwether Beach Resort

We worked closely with our client and the General Contractor to completely transform an old, leaking roof into a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant. The existing built-up roof with gravel under a failing foam-coated roof was removed, and the concrete deck was primed. A temporary modified bitumen roof system was then torched to the deck to ensure that the building remained watertight during the renovation process.

We also strengthened the structure of the hotel with additional steel framing and installed a new deck on top of the existing one. Once the preparation work was completed, we installed a fully adhered Carlisle Tan tapered TPO system on the roof areas. To waterproof the tile areas, we used a GACO 2-part epoxy sealing system over the concrete.

The result is a beautiful and functional rooftop space that our client and their customers can enjoy for years to come.
